Data Use Note

This notice explains how Kingsmead Vintage Cycles (“we”, “our”, “us”) collects, stores and uses personal information in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Information we collect

We collect only the details required to communicate with you or to provide workshop services: your name, email address, telephone number, and any notes you choose to submit in our booking form. We do not request payment information through this website and do not run tracking or advertising cookies.

2. Purpose of use

Your information is used solely for replying to enquiries, preparing service estimates, confirming appointments, and maintaining basic records of completed repairs. We process data on the lawful basis of “legitimate interest” — communication between customer and workshop — and where required, “consent”.

3. Storage and security

All electronic records are kept on secure servers within the United Kingdom. Paper job cards are stored in a locked cabinet accessible only to staff. We retain records for no longer than five years after the last service unless legal obligation requires otherwise.

4. Sharing of data

We do not sell, lease or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. Limited details may be shared with our local courier or paint partner when collection or specialist finishing is requested, and only with your explicit agreement.

5. Your rights

Under UK data law you may request to access, correct or erase your personal information held by us. You may also object to processing or ask for data to be transferred to another controller. Requests can be made by email to [email protected] or by post to 7 Kingsmead Square, Bath BA1 2AB, England. We respond within one calendar month.

6. Cookies and analytics

Our site uses only small, necessary cookies that keep forms operational and count page visits anonymously. No profiling or cross-site tracking is performed.

7. Updates to this notice

We review our Data Use Note periodically. The latest version will always be posted here with a revised date. Substantial changes will be announced on the front page for at least 14 days.
